Objectives :

Anti-inflammatory drugs have been in the news these last months : some have been withdrawn from the market because their side-effects where considered dangerous for the patients, others have received approval to be distributed. The Paris Anti-inflammatory drugs 2005 conference aims to bring together world specialists in order to explore the latest scientific advances on anti-inflammatory drugs. It proposes to launch the discussion on the latest innovations, new applications and new pathways which will allow the development of more efficient and safer anti-inflammatory drugs in the future.

Target audience :

The Paris Anti-inflammatory drugs 2005 conference targets researchers and academic professors, R&D departments, clinicians, pharmaceutical companies, food supplement companies, cosmetics companies, veterinary medicine companies, marketing departments, investors, start ups and actors of the economic evironnment.

Abstracts :

The abstract should be a one-page document, character times 12-single spacing. The title (in bold) should be typed in capital letters authors initial, surname, institution, state. Underline the name of the presenting author. The text should clearly state objectives, methodology, results, and conclusion. Simple tables and graphs are allowed. Presentation of every communication at the Conference is subjected to formal registration of at least one co-author. All accepted abstracts will be printed in the Abstract Book distributed during the Conference.

Abstracts can be sent as a word file to the following address: anti-inflammatory2005@wanadoo.fr

  • Posters will be selected by the scientific committee.
  • Poster format: 0.70 width x 1 m high.
  • The complete abstract should not exceed one A4 page with 3.5 cm margins on all sides.
  • Abstracts should be submitted electronically as an attachment in Microsoft Word.

Abstracts will be not be processed and included in the conference proceedings unless the registration payment is made.

Open call for papers/sessions:
We will select additional invited presentations as well as presentations from registered participants. If interested, please add a list of recent publications to your abstract.

Poster Award

A poster award (valued 1000 EUROS) will be presented for the best poster.

The Pasteur museum

The Pasteur museum is located in the South wing of the first building occupied by the Pasteur Institute, which was inaugurated on November 14th, 1888. Established in 1936, this museum houses the memory of Louis Pasteur's life and work in the vast apartment where he lived during the last seven years of his life, from 1888 to 1895. This museum also includes the collection of scientific objects illustrating the scientist's work, as well as the Byzantine funeral chapel where Pasteur is buried.

Film projection

A film about Pasteur Titled : Pasteur, A comtempory View, length 32 mn will be projected during the conference.
“Pasteur : A comtemporary View” attempts to describe the scientific legacy of Louis Pasteur that endures today. This film takes us where the fruits of this legacy live : to the heart of the Institut Pasteur in France and abroard where, for over a century, Pasteur’s heirs have continued to apply their knowledge for the progress of humanity.
